Surface Water Management & Norfolk Turkey’s Nest

FMG engaged TCD to install several culverts across two new haul roads within their Christmas Creek and Cloudbreak Mine Sites.

Cloudbreak required five culvert locations, with sizes ranging from 600mm diameter to 1,500mm diameter, and a cumulative length of 672m. While over at Christmas Creek there were six locations, with sizes ranging from 900mm diameter to 1,500mm diameter, and a cumulative length of 1,416m.

What started as a straightforward job grew in scope while we were on-site and, thanks to our range of services, we were quickly able to take on additional works, which included Access Track Upgrades and the installation of a Turkey’s Nest.

The works for the 3 ML Turkey’s Nest included the supporting civil pads and access tracks, the installation of geofabric and HDPE liner, float arm, fencing, signage, egress nets, life buoys and conveyor protection matting.
